Dashing Through the Snow

A Christmas Novel

This cute seasonal contemporary romance does a great job of evoking the stress and rush of holiday travel while providing quite a few entertaining twists. The give and take between the two determined individuals who, at first glance, would appear to have nothing in common, provides a great insight into their respective personalities and it is wonderful watching as each takes a turn at holding the upper hand. Throw in a cute puppy and one can’t help having ‘aw’ moments even as the tension ramps up over the mystery surrounding Ashley’s failure to obtain a plane ticket. Despite the fact that many of the developments are pretty far-fetched, this is a fun, light-hearted tale that entertains and conjures up the joys and headaches of the holiday season.

“Dashing Through the Snow: A Christmas novel” by Debbie Macomber details the challenging journey that two strangers undertake at the height of the holiday travel season. Ashley Davison’s last-minute trip to Seattle to surprise her mom is derailed when she can’t get a plane ticket, but her unexpected tug-of-war with ex-Army intelligence agent Dash Sutherland results in them reluctantly joining forces. A series of unexpected developments soon makes this into one of the most unusual and memorable road trips that either of them will ever undertake.

Savor the magic of the season with #1 New York Times bestselling author Debbie Macomber’s newest Christmas novel, filled with warmth, humor, the promise of love, and a dash of unexpected adventure.

Ashley Davison, a graduate student in California, desperately wants to spend the holidays with her family in Seattle. Dashiell Sutherland, a former army intelligence officer, has a job interview in Seattle and must arrive by December 23. Though frantic to book a last-minute flight out of San Francisco, both are out of luck: Every flight is full, and there’s only one rental car available. Ashley and Dash reluctantly decide to share the car, but neither anticipates the wild ride ahead.

At first they drive in silence, but forced into close quarters Ashley and Dash can’t help but open up. Not only do they find they have a lot in common, but there’s even a spark of romance in the air. Their feelings catch them off guard—never before has either been so excited about a first meeting. But the two are in for more twists and turns along the way as they rescue a lost puppy, run into petty thieves, and even get caught up in a case of mistaken identity. Though Ashley and Dash may never reach Seattle in time for Christmas, the season is still full of surprises—and their greatest wishes may yet come true.
