Finding Perfect

Finding Perfect is beautiful story about young love, coming of age and finding your way regardless of the obstacles. It is a rich girl-poor boy story and I absolutely love books with that theme. The story can be divided into two parts. In the first part the author is building relationship between Page and Ben. I tremendously enjoyed reading this part. It is fun, fast paced and highly emotional. The birth of love between Page and Ben and their confusion about those unknown feelings is palpable. In the second part, the focus shifts to overcoming the obstacles in the relationship and resolving some family issues. The pace is slower and emotional part is toned down to minimum. The both parts are complementary and they round up the story.

Page and Ben are very lovable characters. While Ben’s character does not change so much through the story, Page grows a lot. From the girl that tried to please everybody and be perfect to the girl that finally finds the courage to stand for herself. The main secondary character, Page’s best friend Zoey, was the biggest surprise of the story. She turned out to be exactly the opposite from what I expected and that made me so happy. I would like to read her story someday.

I enjoyed reading Finding Perfect. It is lovely YA novel that I highly recommend.

Synopsis: Page Westfeld is perfect daughter, perfect student, perfect girl and very bad in calculus. The last thing doesn't fit into the picture perfect. Luckily she stumbles upon Ben Franklin and their lives will be forever changed.

Book Blurb for Finding Perfect

How far will you go for perfection?

For "Perfect Paige" Westfeld, today is "D" Day. As in, she just got one on her calculus test. With her dreams of Stanford, her reputation, and her parents' expectations at stake, Paige needs to find a way to save face before everything she's worked for goes up in flames.

Ben Franklin (yes, he's related) is from the wrong side of town, with the wrong clothes and the wrong kind of life. He also knows an opportunity when he sees one, and he'll be happy to tutor Paige-if she makes him into the kind of guy her best friend, the hottest girl in school, will date.

It's the perfect arrangement. And Paige is determined not even the inconvenient-and utterly imperfect-attraction simmering between her and Ben will ruin it...
