“Defying Gravity” is a feel good book. It is predictable, it doesn’t tackle any difficult issues and it is bubbly and nice.
I was pulled into the story from the very beginning and I enjoyed the ride very much. The heroine Zoey Miller is a secondary character in the first book in the “Finding Perfect” Series. In that book she was presented as a cold person and very good friend.
Here in the second installment, Zoey is taking the lead role. She is lovable character, spirited, and fun. She loves to snowboard and she loves spending her time in Aspen with her childhood friends, the Madison brothers, Parker and Luke. Parker is Zoey’s best friend but as a story develops Zoey’s feelings for Parker leave the friendship zone and enter another one.
Parker is also lovable character, he is a good younger brother who knows what he wants and is not afraid to go after it. Luke is a bit of a bad guy. He really doesn’t have to be and the Madison brothers’ competition over Zoey is a bit over the top. It was unnecessary to paint Luke as a totally bad and selfish guy who is doing something just to spite his brother.
The story develops and flows nicely. It is obvious from the first page which brother will win Zoey’s heart, but it was really interesting to see how. All in all, if you are looking for a fast and pure YA romance novel “Defying Gravity” is good choice.
Zoey Miler loves spending her vacations with the Madison brothers. They have been friends since birth. But now they are all grown up and things are going to change a bit. Which brother will in the end win Zoey’s hart? Will it be the womanizer Luke or her best friend Parker?
Disclaimer: This book contains enough sexual tension to melt snow, the hottest near-kiss in the history of near-kisses, and a sexy snowboarder determined to win the heart of the girl he loves.
Zoey Miller lives for her holidays in Aspen. Her time up on the mountain with the Madison brothers, Parker and Luke, is everything. But for the first time, it’s not enough. This time, she’s determined to win one of the brothers’ hearts.
But the brother she has in mind is a renowned player, with hordes of snow-bunnies following him around Snowmass resort. And the other…well, he’s her best friend and knows she deserves better. Namely him. And he’s going to win her heart.
