HUNT THE MOON is the long awaited fifth book in Cassie Palmer's series. We meet once again some of our favorite characters in this love triangle and discover secrets from their tragic past that reveal to us weaknesses and make us more in-tune with their struggles. By way of the interactions among the main characters, the reader is brought into the conversations and we get a real feel for the characters as if we really know them and are standing right there listening to their conversations.
Pritkin, Mircea and Cassie create a triangle that will keep the reader wondering who will still be standing in the end. The author does a great job at making us love both love interests for Cassie and finding that we are also at a loss as to which would be the better man for her since both men are wonderful in their own ways even despite their own specific faults.
HUNT THE MOON is an excellent story sequel that will bring us closer to the characters and question if maybe both Pritkin and Mircea both should be with Cassie in the end. I mean in a fantasy world, I would question why she really would have to choose and if she does, which one of these two sexy men should really be with Cassie in the end.
After reading this book I discovered that I am truly not a fan of cliffhangers, at all. I have found that in other series by other authors, they do not rely on cliffhangers to hook the readers, but on good story lines and believable characters that haunt you even when you are not reading the book. I do worry how long it will take for Karen Chance to release book six in this series since it took so long for this one to come out, but hope that possibly in the next one she will trust in her writing and leave out the cliffhanger and give us what we are missing in our lives, the happy ending.
Cassandra Palmer recently defeated a god, which you'd think would buy a girl a little time off. But it doesn't work that way when your job description is Pythia-the world's chief clairvoyant. Cassie is busier than ever, trying to learn about her power, preparing for her upcoming coronation, and figuring out her relationship with the enigmatic sexy master vampire, Mircea.
But someone doesn't want Cassie to become Pythia, and is willing to go to any lengths to make sure the coronation ceremony never happens- including attacking her mother before Cassie is even born.
