Aubrey begged her parents to allow her to add an extra week to her spring break so that she could go to Vermont with her best friend Christie. They allow it in exchange for a few things on her end that she is more than willing to do. Now that she is there, she cannot believe there is no snow in February. Not only that, but it seems her best friend has signed her up for the annual Snow Queen Beauty Pageant. Things pick up some when she meets Grayson, a handsome local boy. But things turn interesting when his sister Layla decides to do anything in her power to win - no matter how underhanded.
As I started to read Snow Queen, I wondered just what I had gotten myself into. Yet as the story starts to unfold, Emma Harrison manages quite wonderfully to draw me into it all. In the end, I was happy to have read the story for myself. Well written, it managed to hold my interest in a good way... This is a good book for teens to read.
Chamberlain Ski Resort and Spa
Welcome to the 10th Annual Snow Queen competition!
I can't believe I got roped into this.
Snow Princesses must attend all pageant rehearsals, with appropriate outfits.
Well, no matter what it takes, I'm going to wipe that smirk off Layla Chamberlain's face.
Our rehearsal space can be booked to practice your talent.
Um, does "looking dumb in a dress" count as a talent?
See Grayson Chamberlain, the assistant director, with any questions.
If you insist! First question: How can someone so sweet (and hot!) be a Chamberlain?
Good luck! One of you will soon be our new Snow Queen!
Unless Grayson comes with the tiara . . .
