No Silent Christmas

Book Two in the Love Beyond Time series.

When Scott Forrester accidentally picks up his sister-in-laws’ time traveling device thinking it was his brothers cell phone, he is thrown back in time to 1925. After saving the president of Artists Unlimited from a fire, he is offered the chance to act in a movie that they are currently producing. Knowing he must find a way to clothe and feed himself until his sister-in-law can figure out where in time he is and come to rescue him, he accepts the job offer. When he gets a good look at the lady he is working along side, he decides that being stuck in 1925 might not be so bad for a while.

Margaret Ingram has come to Hollywood to try and escape the future that her father has planned for her. Being an actress in a movie is just what she needs to try and forget the man her father wants her to marry. As accidents keep happening on the set, Maggie starts to become entwined with Scott. Maybe she can use him to get the guy back home that her father keeps throwing her at. Too bad she must use Scott in order to hopefully get her own life. Especially since she has no intention of actually compromising her virtue in order to do so.

No Silent Christmas is a delightful story about time travel and what can happen when you open your heart to the possibilities that are out there. Love can be found anywhere, at any time, if you are willing to let yourself feel it.  I love the way that Barbara Goodwin brings the roaring 20’s to life. It was the age of Silent Movies and the start of things moving to what we know them as now. What a time it would be to be able to go back to any age and meet the stars of their days back before they knew what it really meant to be a star. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Book Blurb for No Silent Christmas

Book Two in the Love Beyond Time series.

When firefighter Scott Forrester picks up his brother’s BlackBerry, he hears a high-pitched whine and a tangerine light surrounds him. In an instant he disappears from the room.

When the color dissipates Scott is standing on a dirt street. Most of the women are dressed in the same, shapeless style. One stands out. Her long blonde hair and startling blue eyes cause a hot, wild desire to race through Scott. He has never reacted to a woman so intensely before.

Scott finds he’s in 1925, the era of prohibition and gangsters. Until he can get back to his own time he takes the only job offered to him and becomes a reluctant silent screen actor. His co-star is stunning socialite Maggie Ingram. When a series of accidents almost kill Maggie, Scott begins to suspect matinee idol Carey Chambers. But why would Chambers want Maggie dead?
