Infamous

History professor Alison Carter has been given the chance to be the historical consultant on a movie about her childhood hero Silas Quinn. That is actually set in the town that he made famous is both good and bad. The heat alone in the Arizona desert is enough to fry an egg inside its shell. Little did she know when she came out west that all she thought she knew about Silas Quinn was going to change when she met the great grandson of Silas’ wife Melody.

AJ Gallagher is the great grandson of Melody and Jamie Gallagher. A pair that was supposed to have died in the desert in 1898. Then AJ is haunted by the spirit of his dead grandfather and he is forced to leave his nice home in Alaska to venture down to Arizona to try and set the record straight. Boy is he in for a shock when he meets Alison Carter who is nothing like he pictured her to be. As the truth comes out things get complicated all around. Will they manage to survive all that is happening in Jubilation Arizona?

A fan of Suzanne Brockmann and her Troubleshooters series, I was excited to hear about her first mass market original in over 6 years. Infamous is contemporary romance, but like her best selling Troubleshooter series, it is written in such a way that you will have a hard time putting it down. Suzanne has, as I have come to expect from her, brought the story to life in a way that makes it jump off the page at you. An excellent choice as a book to get lost in this summer.

Book Blurb for Infamous

In her first original paperback in more than six years, New York Times bestselling author Suzanne Brockmann delivers an unforgettable novel of contemporary romance and thrilling suspense.

When history professor Alison Carter became a consultant to the film version of the Wild West legend she’d dedicated her career to researching, she couldn’t possibly know that she would not only get a front row seat to a full-blown Hollywood circus, but that she would innocently witness something that would put her life in danger.  Not did she expect that a tall stranger in a cowboy hat would turn the movie -- and her world -- completely upside down…

A.J. Gallagher didn’t crash the set in dusty Arizona to rub elbows with Hollywood’s elite.  Unable to ignore ghosts from the past that refuse to stay buried, A.J. came to put an end to the false legend that has tarnished the reputation of his family.  But when he confronts Alison, sparks fly.  And when she becomes targeted by ruthless criminals, suddenly she and A.J. must face the intense attraction that threatens to consume them, in order to survive the danger that threatens their very lives.
