Death and Roses

A standalone story in the Hunters for Hire series.

Scharsi is a Generation Eight Super Soldier…or at least she was in her life before she escaped just moments before she was scheduled for a life terminated by the Amalgamation. The Amalgamation created her and was unhappy because she did not fallow all orders without thought or any sense of honor. She was helped to escape by her only friend there, Doctor Carl Sabbo. Scharsi had spent 10 years sharing a house with him up until his was murdered for helping her escape.

Tanil Taikiji worked for the Amalgamation as a tactical specialist before he was terminated by his employers on an excuse for an assignment of bringing in Doctor Carl Sabbo for trial pertaining to the death of Gen 8 Super Soldier SH-58R39C also known as Scharsi. But it seems that the soldier who shot him did not make sure he was actually dead before they stripped him down and left him for dead in Doctor Sabbo’s house. So he could be blamed for the missing Doctor.

When Scharsi and Tanil run into each other and Scharsi takes Tanil hostage, they come to an agreement to work together to take down the Amalgamation together. The heat that is between them just makes things more interesting.

Death and Roses by TJ Michaels is a well written story. Captivating is the easiest way to describe how reading Death and Roses is. While lost in the pages I could not wait to find out what was happening next. I'm looking forward to the next book I get to read by TJ Michaels.

Book Blurb for Death and Roses

Death—so skilled, grown men cry at her approach. Roses—so sweet, she enchants ther senses. Scharsi—for one man, an unbelievably sexy combination of the two.

The Amalgamation is the definition of evil in her world. Scharsi has spent years hiding from them. Now she must hunt the agent who killed the only man who ever loved her. Nobody will stop her.

Tanil, an Amalgamation officer left for dead by his own crew, must avoid capture. On the run, wounded and weak, he comes upon the one woman in the ’verse he should be running from. But Scharsi isn’t what the government claims she is—a born and bred killer. Deadly? Absolutely…but addictive, hot. She makes his skin sizzle and sends his blood racing with a look. Her touch? Devastating. He wants her, needsher.

Scharsi doesn’t have time for distractions while on a hunt, but Tanil won’t hesitate to prove that a bit of delicious distraction is just what she needs.
