Surrendering Spirit

Anastasia Wright is granddaughter to Rhiannon, a very special person with gifts. Now that Rhiannon is dying, she decides to write letters to all her grandchildren saying her last goodbyes to them. One letter in particular is a very important one. It was sent to Anastasia once her grandmother passed away. Although the entire family has these gifts, all of Rhiannon’s children have shied away from using them because they witnessed firsthand their father being killed by a demon. When they had their own children, they all refused to teach their children about the gifts they possess or the lineage they were born into.

Keeping the promise to her own children of not telling the grandchildren about the family secret, Rhiannon does the next best thing with Anastasia’s letter. She explains to her in the letter that she would like her to stay in the cabin for awhile and take care of things until everything is settled. She knows her granddaughter well and knows Anastasia will honor her grandmother’s wishes. So Anastasia quits her job and packs up her meager belongings to go to her grandmother’s cabin until she figures out what she should do next with her life. But while staying there she continues to be visited by the same handsome gentleman who has been coming to her in her dreams over the years.

Who is this man and why is he coming to Anastasia in her dreams? Did Rhiannon have anything to do with this visitor entering into Anastasia’s dreams? Does she ever find out about the family secret?

I found this story to be very intriguing. Ms. Mullins did a fantastic job with her storyline and I enjoyed getting to know her characters. I was hoping that Anastasia would be okay staying at her grandmother’s cabin by herself and that everything would eventually be told to her one way or another. The story held my attention from the very beginning and I found myself eager to find out how the story was going to end. I’d love to read more written by this talented author.
