This is the perfect anthology that mixes lots of mistletoe, plenty of passion and one jolly old man – Santa himself – and produces three fantastic stories to sink your teeth into!
In the first story, Mistletoe Mischief, Eric Riley and Marissa Wilder are looking for love and hope that they’ve met their match when they find each other. Add to the mix Marissa’s five year old beautiful daughter and her best friend, who just so happens to be Riley’s daughter, and you have the perfect combination for fireworks to go off. Will Marissa and Riley see past all their misconceptions of each other and realize that the love of their life just might be standing right before them? Or will they let a good thing slip away for the both of them?
The second story, Mistletoe Magic, introduces us to Mark Riley, Eric’s brother, and takes place after he returns home from dedicating the past fifteen years of his life to the Armed Forces. He has decided to buy a piece of property, Whispering Pines Lodge to be exact, and convert it into a ski lodge. Little does he know that after being a stand-in court jester in the local Christmas Parade and setting his sights on Janelle Walsh, the head of the parade committee, things will never be the same for either of them ever again. Do things work out for them to start dating each other or does Mark’s plan for the ski resort put a massive wedge between them?
Lastly, in Mistletoe Match-up, Lisa Riley, who is Eric and Mark’s sister, heads back home not only for a family wedding, but also because her life has taken a dead end turn to nowhere. She has no money, no career and no place to go. Deciding that home is the best place to start fresh again seems like the best idea. That is until she sees Derek Walsh again, Janelle’s cousin, and their rivalry picks right up where they left off in high school. Things seem to take a drastic turn for the both of them now that they’ve seen each other again. Is Derek the man for Lisa or will he be just another mistake she’ll regret years from now?
I absolutely loved this anthology and really enjoyed getting to know each of Ms. Netzel’s characters. I loved how each couple had their own story and then crossed over in the other stories as well. I would highly recommend this anthology and I’m making it a keeper in my library. You definitely won’t go wrong picking up these three stories for your reading enjoyment. Keep the stories coming, Ms. Netzel!
