Hide & Seek

Kelly Donovan, an ER nurse, is extremely pretty and very much single. While attending a summer party her sister Jennifer and her husband are throwing, Kelly has no idea that things are possibly going to change for her this very night. As she starts mingling with the guests, she happens to lay eyes on her brother-in-law’s friend, fellow firefighter Nick Barrantes. He’s tall, dark and very handsome and she just can’t keep from thinking some naughty thoughts about him even though they just meet.

As the party progresses on and everyone is having fun, Jennifer decides it’s time for her infamous Hide & Seek game that she always has the guests play at her parties. When Kelly goes to a spot that she thinks no one will find her hiding at, she is quite surprised when the door opens and Nick comes into the very same closet she has already claimed. One thing leads to another and they start a party all their own while hiding out in this cramped closet.

Could this be the start of something meaningful or just a quick, hot fling? Does Nick call Kelly after the party to get together again? Are they happy they met each other or do they regret what they did at the party?

I really enjoyed this short story and I thought the storyline was quite fun and very different from others I’ve read. I found the characters to be spicy and oh so hot! I felt that Kelly and Nick were perfectly matched for each other and I couldn’t help but hope that something meaningful would come out of their encounter together. I could see the steam coming off the pages as I read it. Since this is a very short story you’ll have no problem fitting it into you’re hectic schedules.
