Chloe Adkins was driving for hours and the weather had just not been cooperating. Heavy sheets of rain were falling hard and fast and the wipers just couldn't keep up to provide any visibility whatsoever. She was in Ohio and decided the next hotel she saw she was going to stop and stay the night to ride out the storm. She came across a sign advertising a Bed and Breakfast that was only five miles ahead. The weather was getting worse and she had hoped that there was still a room available so she could stay the night. She was really tired and not enjoying this storm one bit.
Coming across a wooden sign she read Delaney's Bed and Breakfast and pulled into the gravel drive. There were only two other vehicles parked in the driveway so getting a room she hoped wasn't going to be a problem. She ran up to the porch of this large house and she was drenched from head to toe. She opened the front door and was greeted by the most sexy, seductive and hottest guy she had ever laid eyes on. He surely must have just walked off the cover of a romance novel. Inquiring if they had a room she was relieved they did and just loving the fact that this god was working there. He introduced himself as Marcus Delaney and as each moment ticked by she was admiring this man more and more. He ran out to get her luggage and now when he returned, his wet appearance nearly drove her mad.
As the days passed, she decided to stick around for awhile. She loved the atmosphere that Marcus and his brother Luke and sister Sara provided and the overall loving feeling she felt emanating from the house, since it was where the Delaney's grew up. Not to mention that she found herself immensely attracted to Marcus. Because of her adoptive non-loving background she didn't know if she could actually fall in love with him. To add insult to injury, the Delaney family could no longer afford to continue to run the legacy of the Bed and Breakfast and this tore Chloe up.
Did Chloe and Marcus ever hook up? Could Chloe ever find it in her to fall in love with Marcus? What happened to the fate of the Delaney's Bed and Breakfast?
I really enjoyed this story because the characters were well developed and the storyline was quite endearing. The scenes were spicy and held my attention throughout. Ms. Rae did a wonderful job with it and I would definitely consider reading more of her work.
