In this second installment of The Discovery series, Meredith learns that Luke never made it to his uncle’s house in Indiana. She knows that something is terribly wrong when she opens the door and sees Sheriff Tyler standing there. He informs her that there’s been a horrific accident and unfortunately, Luke didn’t make it out alive. Poor Meredith’s life is quickly turning upside down. My heart broke when I found this out. Here she is looking forward to a bright new future with her husband, along with them expecting their first child and now she knows she’ll have to pick up all the pieces by herself. Everything was spinning out of control for her and I truly felt the pain and sorrow that Meredith was experiencing from the tragic news she received. Once she told both families the devastating news, I loved and admired how everyone surrounded her with love, strength and support. They all wanted to help her out in any way they could, including an old friend from her past. I absolutely love this ongoing series and I’m one of the lucky ones to be able to review these books back-to-back, instead of having to wait for the next monthly release. This enables me to continue on with Meredith and Luke’s saga without any interruptions and I’m really enjoying that this storyline is so emotionally gripping. I love the characters so much that I actually feel as if they’re my friends. This is another installment that I highly recommend!
Meredith is anxiously waiting for Luke’s call to say that he’s arrived safe and sound at his uncle’s place in Indiana, but instead she’s met with the news that her husband has been involved in a tragic accident. Her world is crashing down around her and she doesn’t know how she and her unborn baby are going to find the strength to get through this. With plenty of love and support from both families, along with the Lord’s guidance, they surround Meredith with the strength she needs to carry on. What complications does Meredith encounter along this lonely and heartbreaking road? Who is the friend from the past? What are the Lord’s intentions for Meredith now that she’s lost Luke?
