The House on Main Street

Tessa McKenzie never thought that she’s be returning to her hometown of Apple Valley, Washington to attend a double funeral for her sister and brother-in-law, who were killed in an accident. She’s worked hard to get out of this small town that drove her crazy years ago and it seems to be driving her even more out of her mind now. Not to mention, she doesn’t want to see the town sheriff, Cade Cunningham, while she’s back. Too many feelings from the past are flooding her mind about him and she just doesn’t have the time for him right now. Not to mention, everywhere she turns, her sister and brother-in-law have left problem after problem for her to try and solve. Plus she now has to worry about the welfare of not only her young, autistic nephew, but also her cranky, always complaining seventy-two-year-old aunt. So there’s no time to be thinking about Cade. Or so she thinks. Does anything happen between Tessa and Cade now that she’s back in Apple Valley?

Ms.McCoy penned a wonderful story for her reader to enjoy. I really felt bad for Tessa because she was trying to pick up all the pieces and it just seemed too much for her to handle all at once. When Cade came to offer her his condolences, I could see the sparks flying between them. I wanted something to finally happen between them and I didn’t want it to be just a friendship like it’s been throughout the years. They were grown-ups now and I had my fingers crossed that they took a chance on each other. Clearly they were attracted to one another and I wanted them together. Pick up a copy to see if they decide to take their friendship to the next level. You won’t be disappointed!

There's her grieving nephew, Alex, to consider. And there's Sheriff Cade Cunningham, the adolescent crush who could easily break her heart again if she let him. Except that Tessa is determined to leave again. If Cade wants to change her mind, he'll have to show her that small-town life has its lovable side - and that he does too.
