The Dogist

Photographic Encounters with 1,000 Dogs

In this fun and light photography book dedicated to dogs of every breed, Mr. Friedman shows his true talent by taking pictures of the dogs he sees everyday while traveling around. After being let go at his job, he decides to do what he does best – put his love for dogs and photography together. At first, people didn’t think it could be pulled off, but he showed them that with his talent and ingenuity anything is possible. The book features 1000 pictures from every breed of dog you could imagine and plenty of mixed breeds, as well. He shows his talent by catching just the right shot that is reflective of each individual dog’s personality.

I absolutely adored this book and loved flipping the pages to see what the next shot was going to be that Mr. Friedman had captured. Each dog’s personality clearly showed through the lens of his camera and I laughed at some of the hilarious shots he caught at just the right time. There were dogs that were outright comical, to ones that were more debonair and serious. There were ones that showed how silly dressed up dogs could be, to ones that were simply dressed in winter coats to stay warm. If you are a true dog lover like myself, than this is one book that you definitely shouldn’t pass up. I think this would even make a wonderful coffee table book for any dog lover you might know.
