Seducing the Enemy

Heirs of Damon, #1

Marietta Edwards has lived a very sheltered life due to the tragic accident she was involved in when she was a child. Her older sister passed away, while Marietta was left unable to walk due to her injuries. Numerous surgeries later, she is finally able to walk again and more than anything she wants to reclaim the simple pleasures in life. Her first task in accomplishing this is seducing a mysterious, but oh-so-sexy stranger. After their passionate night together, they both realize who they slept with. Marietta realizes this very guy is none other than Harrison Damon, the enemy in her eyes. You see, Harrison’s cousin, Michael, was the driver of the car that caused the accident that fateful night years ago. What do they do once they find out who they both are? Can they work at making things better between their families?

This was a fantastic story! I loved the storyline and the characters were totally believable. My heart went out to the Edwards family for losing their older daughter and having to live through Marietta’s pain of losing her mobility at one time. As crazy as it sounds given the circumstances, I really wanted to see Marietta and Harrison together. There was a definite chemistry between them and I had hoped that they could seriously work at overcoming the obstacles set before them. I loved this story so much that I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend it and I’ll definitely be looking into reading more from Ms. Adams in the future.
