I really enjoyed this story by Ms. Ivan and I have to say she had me guessing all along just exactly what Ryan Jackson’s brother, Terry, was trying to communicate in Ryan’s dreams. I loved how the author wove a very intricate storyline with plenty of intriguing details that led to the final reveal of what the dream sequence was that Ryan had continually experienced ever since his brother and sister-in-law passed two years ago. This is a short story so it’s easy to fit into anyone’s hectic schedule. I highly recommend it and look forward to seeing what other stories this talented author already has available.
Ryan Jackson is still grieving over the tragic loss of his brother and sister-in-law during their honeymoon two years ago. It seems that Terry is trying to communicate a specific wish to his brother and at first Ryan thinks that he might be crazy for repetitively having the same exact dream over the past two years. But what worries him, even more so, is that Terry’s request involves Ryan’s wife, Rose. Will she think Ryan’s losing his mind when he explains to her that he’s been having the same dream over and over again since Terry and his wife passed on? Will Rose be able to help Ryan fulfill Terry’s wishes? Or will Ryan and Rose’s marriage continue to deteriorate beyond repair because Ryan’s been so consumed with this grief?
