Rye, Dax and Griff Coleman, who are triplet brothers, are the owners of a very successful construction firm named Coleman Construction in Lanville. If you have any kind of construction needs, these are the men to do it. Their work is top rated and their reputation is impeccable.
Alaina May, who presently lives in Dallas, has her eye on returning to Lanville to buy the Stevens house which has been in shambles now for years. Her dream is to turn it into a bed-and-breakfast and restore it to its former beauty for all to enjoy again. She knows if the owner agrees to sell the dilapidated house and property to her that she has an abundance of work that’ll need to be done to get the place turned back into a thing of beauty. Luckily for her, she knows of the impeccable reputation the Coleman Construction firm has and she wants only the best team of workers to work on the house if she’s able to buy it.
Entering the office of the construction firm, Alaina is determined to hire the company to work for her. While she’s there she meets Rye Coleman and begins to explain her plans of wanting to acquire the Stevens house. He just so happens to personally know the owner of the house and sets up an appointment for Alaina to speak to Mrs. Olinghouse to discuss her business proposition.
In a short time, Alaina becomes the official owner of the house and she brings Coleman Construction on board to renovate the entire place. But although she feels a strong attraction to Rye, she decides not to tell him a secret she has which could very well change his mind in wanting to do business with her or even get to know her more personally.
What is the secret she withholds from Rye which is an important piece of information he should know about her? Does Coleman Construction turn the Stevens house into the beautiful bed-and-breakfast that Alaina dreams of or do things happen that prevent them from successfully doing the job?
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed this story and I honestly couldn’t get enough of Rye and Alaina. The characters were so believable and the storyline was so engrossing that I just couldn’t put the book down. I loved how Ms. LaFleur put twists and turn throughout the story to keep her readers on the edge of their seats making them eagerly come back for more as they turned the pages. I would highly recommend this book to other readers and look forward to seeing what other stories the author may already have published. Well done!
Rye Coleman falls in lust with Alaina May the first time she walks into the office of his construction firm. During the tour of the old house that she wants to renovate, that lust takes over when Alaina falls on a broken step, right into his arms. Sex is hard and fast, and he imagines a lot more of it—until she tells him she’s the sister of the woman who humiliated him in front of the entire town three years ago.
Rye accepts the remodeling job, but refuses to have anything personal to do with Alaina. He can’t be sure she won’t treat him like her sister did. But Alaina is determined to convince Rye she’s nothing like her sister. A picnic meant to thank him for his hard work turns into the first of many nights of lovemaking.
A murder from seventy-five years ago, a ghost in the old house and a modern-day man determined to stop the remodeling threaten the blossoming love between Rye and Alaina.
