Saved by the Bride

Wedding Fever, #1

I found this to be a fun, light contemporary romance that I enjoyed. I loved Annika Jacobson because she was a down-to-earth character who was very susceptible to being klutzy and just prone overall to silly things happening to her. She was by no means a stupid woman though. I love characters that are carved out to be everyday people that everyone can relate to one way or another and Annika fit that category for me. I loved the small town setting of Whitetail, Wisconsin and felt it was just another aspect of making this story so believable for me. I was hoping that since Annika was acting mayor she would be able to revive the economy in Whitetail and I just found it funny they chose her for this position. When Finn Callahan was introduced into this story, I could feel their attraction for one another and I really hoped that they would end up making a good match for each other. Overall, I enjoyed this story very much and look forward to reading more in this series.

Annika Jacobson is made acting mayor of the small, quaint town of Whitetail, Wisconsin and her main concern is to try and raise the revenue so the town could get back on their feet again. She’ll stop at nothing to achieve her goals, even if that means crashing an engagement party to talk to the bride’s billionaire father. When Finn Callahan stumbles upon Annika, sparks fly fast and furious between them. Do they act upon their attraction for one another? Does Annika succeed at raising Whitetail’s economy?

Welcome to Whitetail, Wisconsin, future home of Weddings that WOW!

As acting mayor, Annika will do anything to revive the economy of the town that's been her refuge ever since her art career imploded and her fiancé walked out. Even if it means crashing an engagement party to talk business with the bride's billionaire father. But the evening starts with a kiss from a gorgeous stranger—and ends with a night in jail.

Finn Callahan can't believe his sister is getting married, not after their parents' disastrous track record. And he'd rather be anywhere than working from his family's vacation home. Until he catches a leggy blonde sneaking in the window, and suddenly telecommuting for the season is very appealing.

Unable to resist their mutual attraction, Annika and Finn are soon mixing business and pleasure—just for the summer. Too bad Annika's heart missed the memo about not falling in love…
