Ellie Monroe is a perfectionist and when something doesn’t go the way she plans, it drives her crazy. So when she meets Dr. Dan O’Brien of the Summer Beach Veterinary Hospital in Australia, all because a local dog decides to eat her work flash drive, things don’t turn out very well at first. No matter how hard Ellie and Dan try to convince themselves they aren’t interested in each other, they find themselves thinking of each other more than they probably should be. If they decide to finally go out with each other, could it work between them?
Ms. Hanna has another winner on her hands with book two of the Summer Beach Vets series. I loved both Ellie and Dan and I wanted them to at least try out dating each other, but the way things were going, I figured it just wasn’t meant to be. Ellie was such a perfectionist that it honestly drove me crazy how she was so stuck in her ways. It was so hard for her to let her hair down and to just have a little fun. I felt with Dan’s Australian relaxed attitude, he would balance her out perfectly. I also wanted to mention that I loved Milo, the chocolate Labrador, and all his silly antics he had done throughout the story. This can very easily be a standalone book, but I feel if you read each story in the order they’re written, you’ll enjoy the series even more so. This is another story by Ms. Hanna that I highly recommend!
Escape Down Under... and find love in Summer Beach, where cold noses touch warm hearts.
Ellie Monroe doesn't make mistakes. At least, she hasn't made one yet in her climb up the career ladder and she isn't about to start now that she's landed a dream job in a beautiful Australian seaside town on the other side of the Pacific. But when a mischievous chocolate Lab turns her life upside-down, Ellie finds herself meeting handsome veterinarian, Dr Dan O'Brien and wanting to throw caution to the wind for the first time in her life...
Dan has never met a woman quite like Ellie before. The workaholic American is sexy, stubborn, uptight, exasperating - and absolutely fascinating. Australians are famous for their relaxed attitude to life - but can Dan convince Ellie that sometimes you need to make mistakes to open your heart to love?
Stands Alone: YES
