Playing for Love

Summer Beach Vets, #1

When Sara Monroe decides to take a break from her stressful life in Los Angeles, she heads to Summer Beach, Australia to go visit her cousin, Ellie. While she’s getting to see everything beautiful Australia has to offer her, she never thinks she’ll find a Beagle on the beach who is injured and needs medical attention. Once she brings the dog to the closest vet practice, she gets to meet handsome and very sexy Dr. Craig Murray. Their first encounter together definitely is a rocky start, but there’s something about this vet that she just can’t get out of her mind. Does Craig feel the same way about Sara? Do they decide to try their luck at starting something together even though they both know that Sara is leaving in two weeks to head back to the States?

I really enjoyed this first book in Ms. Hanna’s brand new series, Summer Beach Vets. This author knows how to develop down-to-earth characters and she wraps them around beautiful locales. I’ve always wanted to visit Australia and the way in which Ms. Hanna described the picturesque landscape of Summer Beach, makes me want to visit it even more now…although I know that Summer Beach is just a fictional place. What I really enjoy about her writing style is that she makes every character a person that you might know in real life. They can be your neighbors, classmates or church friends. I love when a storyline is so relatable because it makes it even more believable in my eyes. Rest assured the author has excelled in doing so with this first book in her new series. Another thing that I really love about this story is how the animals make their appearances throughout the storyline. Ms. Hanna has penned this series off to a great start. I highly recommend this first book and I’m eagerly looking forward to reading book two as soon as I can!
