Meet Me In Scotland

A Kilts and Quilts Novel, #2

When a video of marriage therapist Emma Castle goes viral, her life goes into a tailspin. On the video it shows her explaining how she doesn’t believe in happily-ever-afters. For anyone else, this may not be so bad. Considering she’s a marriage therapist, it’s the last thing she needs right now. So she does the best thing she can think of – she decides to go visit her best friend Claire in Scotland for a while. While there, she runs into Gabriel MacGregor, now the town’s doctor, and she can’t believe how good he looks since the last time she saw him. Sparks fly between them, but do they decide to act upon them?

This is the second book in the Kilts and Quilts series and I thought it was a fun read. At times I thought it moved a bit slow for my own personal taste, but I did enjoy getting to know the characters. I liked the tension that constantly flowed between Emma and Gabriel and I found myself wanting them to test the waters between them. As for Emma’s predicament regarding the video, I felt bad that the video went viral and caused such chaos in her life. I personally felt that she should never have become a marriage therapist just to satisfy her well-known parents’ wishes. Overall, this was a good read for me.
