One day Loula overhears her mother complaining that she hates "living with that horrible monster." Poor Loula fears that her mother is really talking about their family dog named Mister. He's a huge, loveable dog that follows Loula around everywhere, but because of his size, he's a clumsy dog that gets himself into trouble at times. So Loula devises a plan to train Mister to have proper manners so their mother won't decide to get rid of him. Does Loula's training help Mister learn to behave himself? Does it save him from being given away?
I loved this fun child's story because although it wasn't necessarily stated, the graphics and description of Mister resemble that of a Great Dane. Being a Great Dane lover I laughed throughout the story of the silly, but loveable antics Mister was doing. I hoped that wth all of Loula's training, their mother would decide against giving Mister away. To find out what happens to him, pick up a copy to have your child read. I'm sure they'll love it just as much as I did!
Everywhere Loula goes, her beloved dog, Mister, follows. Unfortunately, Mister does not follow her good manners. When she hears her mother say she can no longer live with that MONSTER, Loula decides it's time to teach an old dog polite tricks. Can Mister learn to behave? Or will Mama throw him and his monstrous manners out?
