Her Own Sweet Time

Liz O'Clancy decides to leave her home in New York City to return to her ancestral one in Ireland to find her missing grandmother. When she arrives, she finds that her cousin, Deidre, is living there at present and tearing the castle apart. Although Deidre is playing off that she's worried that their grandmother is missing, she's really on a search to find a hidden treasure that she's heard about over time. But Liz is genuinely concerned for Grandmother Anna and will stop at nothing to find her.

As always, her trusted friend, Donnegan O'Riley is at her side and tries to help Liz figure out where her grandmother could have disappeared to without a trace. He'll do anything to ensure Liz's happiness because secretly he's been in love with her for years and just doesn't have the courage to tell her how he truly feels about her. But during their search, they stumble upon something that they would never have imagined existed. They find a hidden portal in time.

As they step through time, will they be able to find Grandmother Anna and be able to return to present day without any issues? Along their journey, when Liz starts realizing that her knight in shining armor has been in her life since childhood, how does she react to that? Do either one finally decide to tell the other their thoughts and feelings for each other?

I really enjoyed this time-travel story. I'm such a sucker for Irish stories and having a love story entwined into the storyline was such a bonus for me. I loved Liz and Donnegan and I wanted them to be together. I hoped that once they found the portal they would have no problem returning to present day. I'm new to this author and her writing, but she has definitely made me a fan now. I look forward to reading more from her in the near future!
