I found this YA story to be the perfect mixture of a little bit of mystery, a bit of paranormal and a generous helping of a young adult romance that made this a great read for me. We find Ivy Calhoun facing some radical changes in her life that she just doesn’t seem to be adjusting to so readily. You see, after her father died a week after her thirteenth birthday, it was just her mom and her for a while. Then her mom remarried and her stepdad decided he was going to relocate the family to Scotland. Not your average day scenario to say the least. When this happened, I felt extremely bad for Ivy because she was leaving everything familiar behind in Charleston, South Carolina and moving to Scotland where she knew no one. She didn’t even know anything about the castle they were moving into or even anything about Scotland itself. Teen years are hard enough to go through when you’re in familiar surroundings with your friends all close by. Poor Ivy had to start fresh again. But the only thing that really made me accept her relocating was she got to meet Logan, a teenage ghost who had been dead for some time. I loved their budding romance and I walked away completely satisfied with the storyline. I even loved the Harry Potter references the author mentioned. Although this was a YA story, as an adult I thoroughly enjoyed it. I highly recommend it and I look forward to seeing if the author has any other stories currently available for her readers to buy. Don’t pass this one up!

Ivy Calhoun is your average teenager living in Charleston, South Carolina. It’s just been her and her mom for some time since her father passed away. Now, since her mom decided to remarry, her stepdad has decided to uproot them to a castle in Scotland. Everything she has come to know and love will be no longer since she’s moving to a different country that she knows nothing about nor does she know anyone there. Her luck starts to change though when she meets Logan, a teenage ghost, and they eventually fall in love with each other. Does Ivy eventually adapt to living in Scotland? How does Ivy and Logan deal with their odd situation of her being very much alive and him being a ghost?
