This companion art book to the movie Elysium is one that any fan of the movie shouldn’t pass up. It contains numerous images the developing team used to help make this movie and within each caption, explained if the image was used or not in the final cut. I loved seeing the pictures to such things as the scenery, the props and the weapons created for this movie. I really enjoyed the write-ups they attached to each of these pictures explaining how these images were thought up and how the development team used these to not only make the movie, but also shared them with the fans who wanted insider information on the development of this movie. My favorite part of the book was that it was broken down into two different concepts. One concept being how everything was conceptualized on Elysium, the First World colony, versus how dirty, impoverished and backward Earth was in the second concept. Without a doubt, both concepts were night and day in comparison and were clearly presented to the fans in this way. I loved this companion art book and I’m adding it to my print library. I highly recommend this book to fans who love companion guides to popular box office films. Well done!
