Cowboy Tough

Ms. Kennedy truly delivered another wonderful cowboy tale for her readers to devour. In this story, we’re introduced to Cat Crandall, who has a successful advertising job, but after the death of her sister, is questioning everything in her own life. Cat decides to give up the fast-paced life and pursue her art dreams. She envisions herself teaching in maybe France or Italy one day, but for now lands a job at the Boyd Ranch in Wyoming. When she arrives, she doesn’t think she can deal with having to get used to the dude ranch life, but her views start to change once she begins to get closer to Mack Boyd. Mack is a bronc rider and loves what he does, but once his mother asks him to help tend the family’s ranch because they’re having financial troubles, he puts his bronc riding aside and runs the dude ranch. He’ll do whatever it takes to have money coming into the ranch. I loved the characters and felt like I personally knew them. Ms. Kennedy made me feel as if I was in Wyoming taking part in the ranch’s day-to-day activities. I love being able to get lost into a storyline and submerging myself in the book’s setting as if I was actually standing at the very location while I was turning the pages. Ms. Kennedy helped me do that with this book. Oh, and before I forget to mention it, I absolutely loved that Cat and Mack were direct opposites of each other. I loved the crackling chemistry between these two characters and being so different from each other made them even more attractive to me as I read the story. If you love contemporary western stories with handsome, sexy cowboys, than look no further. This book is definitely one to look into to!

After losing her sister, Cat Crandall decides it’s time to give up the rat race and start following her dreams. She packs her stuff up and lands herself an art-teaching job at the Boyd Ranch in Wyoming. This is definitely not the locale she had in mind, but it’ll have to do for now. As she’s desperately trying to settle into her ranch surroundings, seeing the owner’s sexy son, Mack Boyd, is definitely making the transition a bit smoother for her. An attraction flares between them, but both must deal with some personal issues before even considering involving someone else in their lives. Do these two eventually give into their feelings for each other? Could starting a life in Wyoming not be as bad as Cat originally thought it to be?

Book Blurb for Cowboy Tough

She’s hardly a cowgirl…

Cat Crendall left a successful advertising job in New York to teach art workshops in the wild west. The Boyd Ranch is hardly her dream destination, but if the outing’s a success, the company will send her to more exotic locations.

But once a cowboy…

Mack Boyd was in the middle of the best bronc-riding season of his life when his mother asked for help with an artists’ retreat at the ranch. Mack might be able to ride a wild stallion to a standstill but he can’t say no to his family.

Cat and Mack are complete opposites…but when the ranch is threatened financially, can they set aside their differences and work together?
