I really enjoyed this short story and I loved the initial reaction Owen Carpenter had when he first stumbled upon his wife’s erotic fantasy writing. Everything about their lives was so “idyllic,” but after reading Gail’s steamy, hot writing, that’s the last thing Owen would label things now. I also loved when he confronted her about it. I think that was the best part of the story. If you’re dying to find out how Gail reacted to him stumbling upon her writing, you’ll just have to pick up a copy and read it yourself!
Owen and Gail Carpenter have a nice marriage, nice kids, a nice home…essentially everything is nice, boring and bland. That is until Owen finds some of Gail’s erotic writing and can’t believe how graphic the story is. As he’s reading it, he’s realizing that it’s turning him on like never before. So he decides to get to the bottom of things by confronting Gail about it. How does she react when she finds out exactly what Owen read? Does this change their idyllic marriage for better or worse?
Owen and Gail Carpenter have an idyllic marriage. Nice home. Nice kids. Nice everything… Nice and boring. When Owen finds a piece of erotica penned in his wife’s handwriting, he realizes she just might be into sex that isn’t so, well…nice. If what she’s written can arouse him to such a level, he can’t wait to find out if she’s willing to take things from the page to the bedroom.
