This is the first book that I have read in this series by Mr. Kinkade and Ms. Spencer and it surely won’t be my last. Although we no longer have the luxury of enjoying more stories being penned by Mr. Kinkade, I do look forward to reading the other books I’ve missed in this heartwarming series. In this book, we find Charlotte Miller, a well-known actress, staying on Angel Island for a movie that she will be starring in. Not being pretentious, she decides she wants to stay in a lovely local inn because she’s enamored by the island. Everyone is so surprised at how down to earth she really is, especially one fellow named Colin Doyle. When these two meet there is an instant attraction between them and I found myself hoping that they would eventually end up together. I loved the characters and the island seemed to be a quaint place that any traveler would love to stay in. I knew in my heart that Angel Island was definitely a place where miracles could happen every day.
When Charlotte Miller arrives on Angel Island to get settled in before the movie shooting begins, she is taken by the beauty and comfort the place has to offer. Instead of staying in the lavish accommodations that are usually provided for her, she decides to stay in Liza’s Inn to be closer to the quaintness that the town offers everyone. She immediately fits in and the locals are surprised at just how friendly and unpretentious she really is. One man who really notices her is Colin Doyle. They run into each other from time to time, but the attraction between them burns deeper than they first thought. Now their chance encounters become planned ones. Do they decide to act upon their attraction before Charlotte finishes filming? Could a relationship between them last?
