When Spencer Lang heads home after a devastating tour in Afghanistan, he’s ready to settle back home again. When he arrives in Snowberry Creek, he’s not ready to face some harsh realities. You see, Spencer’s friends, family and the woman he loves were all informed that he was killed in action and they have all moved on with their lives. Hearing this, he’s a bit uncomfortable with how everyone has moved on already. To say that he’s going to have to learn to adjust to many changes is an understatement. One thing for sure, he still has feelings for Callie. The sad part is, she’s moved on and is ready to marry his best friend. Does Callie go ahead with her wedding or does she reconsider what she feels for Spencer?
This is another great story that Ms. Morgan penned for her readers to sink their teeth into. It’s the third installment of the 'Snowberry Creek' Series and each book is a masterpiece in itself. I felt so bad for poor Spencer because anyone would have a difficult time readjusting coming home again after serving in the military, but this one seemed a bitter pill to swallow considering that everyone was informed that he died in the line of duty. It was understandable how everyone had moved on with their lives, but it made it even more difficult for Spencer to adjust to his civilian life again. Seeing Melanie brought back everything he felt for her and I really wanted to see what happened between them since his coming home. The characters were very believable and the plot was very gripping. My heart went out to Spencer and I hoped that everything would work out for him in the end. I highly recommend this book and the 'Snowberry Creek' Series. You won’t be disappointed!
