I've never eaten at a Ruby Tuesday restaurant before but after reading this cookbook and trying a couple of the recipes I realize I might be missing something. I know there is a Ruby Tuesday's within 20 minutes of me here in Indianapolis so now I am going to have to go and make a visit. They have over 900 restaurants all over the United States so they are easy to find in your area.
I love the basic overall idea of the book which is how you can make these gourmet meals at home in very little time. I do like nothing more than eating a restaurant quality meal at my house without having to get dressed up or even leaving the premises.
The dishes are elegant while being totally easy to prepare and the book offers brunch, lunch and dinner recipes. It also has a few appetizers thrown in. I tried out the signature burger and it was really tasty. It called for all fresh ingredients which gives you the best possible flavors you can get. Mine was extra juicy and smoky tasting so it's a must make now at least once a month. The book covers a wide variety of dishes like about 4 Burger Recipes, Tai Phoon Shrimp, Saffron Tomato Soup, Cucumber Raita, Mac 'n Cheese, and Curried Chicken with Coconut Rice. There are loads of options. I did make my own Coconut Rice and I am so surprised at how much I did enjoy it. It brings a slight sweetness to the rice but is not overpowering. I'm not generally a rice eater at all but I did like this version of it and since rice is one of the healthiest foods you can eat, I'll start fixing mine like this. I really think you'll like all this book has to offer. With its awesome photographs it will leave you wanting to try a recipe on your own. There's also a money saving coupon offer for eating at the restaurant which is always a good incentive.
