Touch of Evil

The Thrall

Touch of Evil is the first in a new series by C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. The new series is called "The Thrall" and it focuses on a woman by the name of Kate Reilly. This book is a quick, interesting read and I look forward to reading "Touch of Madness" which releases on May 29th, 2007.

6 years ago Kate Reilly was turned over to the Thrall Queen, by her fianc‚e and survived a battle with the Thrall, vampires. Now the Thrall are trying to make her the new Thrall Queen. Kate has a deadly enemy who is out to destroy her and all she loves. Kate owns an apartment building and is a courier. She meets a handsome firefighter, who needs an apartment to rent, as she tries to focus on the threat from the Thrall.

Tom Bishop is Kate's new renter; he is also a werewolf who is hiding a secret from Kate. As the world of the Thrall and werewolves surge around Kate, he slowly wears down her hearts defenses as they get to know one another. Kate is hired to find a missing girl and Tom ends up trying to help Kate and protect her from the Thrall.

Touch of Evil is a well-written story with an interesting storyline, the characters are a pleasure to get to know and the steamy scenes almost require a fan to read them. I recommend this book if you enjoy the "Sazi" series and are looking for a new world to bury yourself in.
