Stolen

Women of the Otherworld, Vol. 2

Elena Michaels is unique; she is the only female werewolf alive. While Elena deals with life with the Pack, she investigates a notice, which claims that werewolves are real. During that investigation, she meets two witches who inform her that, not only is there more to the super natural world, but that a small group of humans are kidnapping and killing super naturals. Elena and her Pack Alpha, Jeremy, meet with half-demons, vampires and witches to determine the threat and how to deal with it. Elena is kidnapped and Jeremy and Clay attempt to rescue Elena.

Clay is Elena's mate. He is also the foster son and protector for Jeremy. After Elena's capture, the werewolves join forces with the other members of the super natural council to find Elena and the witches Coven leader, Ruth, who is also captured. As the force grows to save the captured individuals, Elena must deal with new friends and treachery while attempting to escape.

Elena is the narrator in this fast paced book, where suspense and Elena's sarcastic remarks are abundant. I did find some grammatical errors through the book; however, it didn't draw away from the overall storyline. Stolen is the second book in the Women of the Otherworld series and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the books in the series. I was quickly drawn into the series and have enjoyed it immensely. Stolen was a pleasure to read and I will be adding it to my "keep" pile.

Book Blurb for Stolen

It was in Bitten, Kelley Armstrong's debut novel, that thirty-year-old ElenaMichaels came to terms with her feral appetites and claimed the proud identity of a beautiful, successful woman—and the only living female werewolf. In Stolen, on a mission for her own elite pack, she is lured into the net of ruthless Internet billionaire Tyrone Winsloe, who has funded a bogus scientific investigation of the “other races” and their supernatural powers. Kidnapped and studied in his underground lab deep in the Maine woods, these paranormals—witches, vampires, shamans, werewolves—are then released and hunted to the death in a real-world video game. But when Winsloe captures Elena, he finally meets his match. Author Biography: Kelley Armstrong lives in rural southwestern Canada with her husband and three children.
