Victoria Benson has come to work at the Biker bar to help with staff shortage when she puts herself between Sean Quaid and his brothers, both who have recently mated with wolf shifters. Sean can not understand the speed and intensity that the mating occurs as he confronts his brothers. Before Sean can say anything to get him beaten up she drags him into another room to cool off. Only there is no cooling off between them, just things heating up as they are drawn to one another.
Sean wants the best for his brothers and their company but he is uncharacteristically drawn to this stranger. As they both share secrets with one another they realize that there is more between this meeting than either of them anticipated.
Out of Place Mate is the fourth book in the Edge/Shifters and Bikers series. These books are sizzling; steamy quick reads that get the blood flowing. Ms. Royce has done a wonderful job of getting Victoria and Sean's story across in this short story that steams up the pages. I always look forward to more from this author and enjoy all of her writing.
Sean Quaid’s brothers don’t think he is very shifter-friendly. He certainly does not seem happy that they have both married and haven’t been showing up to work. Victoria Bensen wants nothing more than to cool him down and get him to stop making such a scene at Gunther’s Bar.
When she drags him to the staging room at the back of the bar, she doesn’t know that it will be Sean bringing down her barriers, not the other way around. Heat level: 5 / Word count – 3k
