Just as good as the first book in the series! I was very happy to realize that this book picked up from the end of the first book in the series and continued the storyline, adding in two more wonderful characters. The storyline continues to be well written, engaging and very hard to put down. This book is the second in a series called “7 Brides for 7 SEALSs”. Again I was sad to see the book end so I will wait for the next book in the series. The author did a great job of making the characters continue to pop from the pages. The author is soon going to need to sell fire extinguishers with the books. The secondary characters were well introduced to the point that you are very happy there are more books to follow. I am continuing to looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Britt Ackermann has travelling into town for a friends wedding. He's part of the wedding party and is soon teamed up with the Matron of Honour. As they move through the day putting out fires and working closely together they are drawn more and more to each other. Britt is confused concerning his feeling in the beginning as Viv is wearing a wedding band. Viv lost her husband 9 months ago to a horrible battle with cancer. While she still carries the wounds from that she is ready to move on. After an especially disorienting session with a psychic she gets word from the beyond to be ready for a new future.
Viv LaClare is so over being the matron...the widow. She wants to live again, laugh, maybe even dabble in a little affair…if she can find the right guy. Enter the studly Navy SEAL designated to drive her around town on wedding errands. She's hot for his body, but when her newly healed heart gets ideas, she's not sure she can risk it on a man with one of the deadliest jobs in the world.
Britt Ackermann is done with one-night stands and women who party with a SEAL for bragging rights. He wants a lady with guts, sass, and more than a lick of sense. He has doubts a woman like that exists. So when he meets the Matron of Honor at his teammate’s wedding, she hooks him at ‘hello.’ He wants all the nights she’ll give him even if he can't promise her tomorrow.
