Mila, a modern woman who has always had the ability to heal is suffering from more blackouts and seizures; no one can explain why she has them, until her world crashes from normal to supernatural. Mila is battling to save her house and she works on the side decorating eggs, little did she know that the world may depend on her ability and others from her lineage to make the eggs and properly distribute them. Also, she learns some shocking facts about her past and her family as her world changes completely.
Talos is a fire crafter, a magic wielder from a different type of world, he works with the Overworld Police Agency and he is attempting to stop the end of the world as they all know it after a frightening criminal escapes from the prison made to cancel out his magic. Verge is the criminal and Mila finds proof that he had been out of the prison prior to his escape and has a plan that spells out the doom her world and the world she has just learnt about, Talos world.
The authors have invented a wonderful new world full of magic with this book. I really enjoyed the book and found the characters were courageous, honorable and well described. The heroin, Mila, is a woman who deals with shocks and handles them well while Talos and Mila come together and learn to trust one another as they battle to save the world and then each other. The scenes are well written and sizzling. I recommend this book and would love to read more in this new world.

They were destined to save the world from an ancient evil.

Mila has always had the gift of healing. But this very modern woman never realized that her skill was born of an ancient magic that only firecraft can fully unlock.
Together, Tal and Mila discover that the source of their powers is in unity. Love's shining light might burn them alive protecting the magic of the world, but if the Tree of Life dies, and all the magic in the world is extinguished ... will it matter?
