Laura Welling did a great job of setting up a fast-paced, well written book. The story drew me in from the very beginning and I didn't want to put it down. At the end of the book I definitely wanted more, not because anything was missing but because I want to know what happens next and how the characters continue to develop. The characters were enjoyable and I had fun getting to know each one of them. Heir to the Pack is the first book in the Cursed Pack series, I am looking forward to seeing more of the characters in the next book.
Annie is a strong woman who has raised her son with only the assistance of her mother. Daisy is Annie's mother and she might be hiding something from Annie. Dash is a werewolf, and about to be crowned as the next ruler of all the werewolf packs. There are some problems that have developed due to Annie and Jack finding Dash. Together, Annie and Dash are a sensual couple and the pages sizzled with their interactions. Jack, their son, is so enjoyable to read about and easy to be engaged with. Together Dash and Annie must learn all they can about the world Dash comes from as Annie discovers werewolves and ancient curses really do exist and that a battle is about to be waged.
Annie and Dash met, in Cancun, 3 years ago and had three-day fling that would have unknown consequences on them both. Their son Jack is the outcome to their time together and he is sick. Annie needs Dash to help save Jack. As Annie and Jack are pulled into the very different and dangerous world Dash lives in Annie discovers there is more to the world than she knew.
