Everywhere and Nowhere

I quickly began to enjoy this book and it was hard to put it down. Once again Ms. Royce has written a series I can’t wait to read more of. The story line is complex, twisting and filled with a new world and strong, well developed, interesting and funny primary and secondary characters. Haven is a fantastical place where it seems anything is possible.

Hadrian is from another dimension, Haven, where he is a warrior. He joined his Princess on a dimensional trip, over 200 years ago, that she was required to make, until she got trapped and unable to save herself. After trying to save the Princess for many years Hadrian has decided to kidnap one of her daughters to get him home where he can get assistance to rescue the Princess. He needs the Princess’s daughter to hold the dimensional portal open to get his soldiers through. After he kidnaps Hadley he realizes he kidnapped the wrong daughter, but in reality she could be the only one to help save his world.

Dr. Hadley Pettigrew is on a science exploration, trying to find giant squid when she is kidnapped off her ship and begins to see amazing things. As she travels to Hadrian’s world and they all realize that his world is at danger she must learn to trust in her new abilities in order to save Haven. Hadrian and Hadley are drawn together and some very steamy scenes follow until she is kidnapped again and Hadrian must rescue her. As more of Hadley’s past becomes known it is more imperative that Hadley get rescued as she could be the only one to save Hadrian’s world.

This book was originally reviewed in 2012 under a different title and hero name. This review has been updated to reflect some changes.

Hadley has only one dream—to see the giant squid, a creature that has always called to her. But when she is kidnapped from her expedition not only is her ambition threatened—so is everything science has taught her about what is possible.

Determined to save his princess from a fate stranger and more terrible than death, Hadrian has no qualms about using Hadley for his own ends. But he finds himself captivated by her enquiring mind and luscious body, and soon he is torn between saving his world and saving his woman.
