Devil May Cry

Dark-Hunter Series

Kat is the servant to two gods, the Greek goddess Artemis and the Atlantean Destroyer Apollymi. She is unbelievably strong and completely loyal to those she serves. Artemis asks for her help in killing Sin, before he kills her for an act that Artemis did to him in the past. Kat doesn't just follow orders blindly; however, as she learns more of Sin, she has doubts as to what needs to be done with him. After a period of watching Sin, he finds her and takes her captive, believing she is someone else.

Sin is a former Sumerian fertility god; many centuries ago Artemis took most of Sin's god powers and left him almost defenseless. As a result to that night, Sin is determined to get his powers back from Artemis and destroy her. Sin has been given the title of Dark Hunter; however, he and Ash, the leader to the Dark Hunters, have an understanding that Sin will just hunt the deadly gallu demons that are set to unleash the Dimme demons, which could destroy Earth. After mistaking Kat for a hated enemy the truth comes out of who she is. As Kat and Sin work together to save the world and they fall in love, they must contend with the truth of who Kat's parents are and Sin's feelings towards that.

All I can say is "WOW", outstanding! Devil May Cry is the reason I first got hooked on the series years ago. Sherrilyn Kenyon has the ability to create a world which seems real, introduces us to characters that we fall in love with and pulls the reader in from the first word until the end, when we absolutely are left wanting more from this fantastic writer. In Devil May Cry we learn much more of Kat and other characters in the series. Devil May Cry is the 11th book in this series and it would benefit the reader to start at the beginning of the series to understand all the characters in this book. I can not wait to see more from this writer and I hope she keeps writing for a long time.
