(Dark Series #18) -- Book 20 including shorts in anth's
Ivory Malinov has turned her back on her Carpathian brethren after she has been betrayed by her own king. Her only remaining brethren are a pack of wolves that helped her as she recovered from unspeakable torture. She is a slayer of vampires and is seeking a way to rid the world of a horrible evil and her greatest enemy. She continues on her quest until she comes across a Carpathian who she wants to run from but she is unable to do so, as he is her lifemate.
Razvan is a dragonseeker; from a very honorable family he is feared to be a traitor and enemy to the Carpathian people. He has finally escaped his tormentor and seeks the dawn to save the rest of the world from the evil that can work through him. As he hears Ivory speak for the first time, he realizes that he has a lifemate and is terrified for her safety. Ivory takes matters into her own hands and saves Razvan so that he can help her in her fight, as his tormentor is none other than her greatest enemy and Razvan can help in the fight.
Dark Slayer is the 20th book in the Carpathian series. It was a fantastic, mesmerizing book that is well written and has fantastic characters. I especially enjoy how Ms. Feehan is able to draw in the characters from the previous books and let them play a strong part without taking over the book. This series is definitely a “must read” to any paranormal romance reader and Dark Slayer will be joining the rest of the series on my shelves as one to keep and read again.
Book Blurb for Dark Slayer
A rumor has persisted in the vampire world of a dark slayer — a woman — who travels with a wolf pack and who destroys any vampire who crosses her path. Mysterious, elusive and seemingly impossible to kill, she is the one hunter who strikes terror into the hearts of the undead.
She is Ivory Malinov. Her only brethren, the wolves. Long ago betrayed by her people, abandoned by her family, and cast out by everyone she held dear, Ivory has lived centuries without companionship or love. She has sustained her sanity by preparing for one purpose — to destroy her greatest enemy. Until the night she picks up the scent of a man, her unexpected salvation. Her lifemate. The curse of all Carpathian women.
He is Razvan. Branded a criminal, detested and feared, he is a dragonseeker borne of one of the greatest Carpathian lineages, only to be raised as its most despised — and captive — enemy. Fleeing from his lifetime of imprisonment, Razvan now seeks the dawn to end his terrible existence. Instead he has found his deliverance in the Dark Slayer.
In spirit, in flesh and blood, in love, and in war, Ivory and Razvan are made for each other.
For as long as they dare to live.
