Another Time is the first book in the Guardians of Now series by Donna Steele. The book is a fun and quick read. It has love, chaos, a strong female character who has the support of the man in her life and an adventure of a lifetime. The story has a good plot line that is added to by the reason for the main characters being drawn to one another. The characters are well written and the author does a great job making them seem to pop off the page. The pages sizzled between the couple. The story is not only about these two main characters, it hints to a deeper story. I am looking forward to reading more from this author, especially in this series.
Dusty Williams finds himself inexplicably drawn into a strange bar, to consider his possible new future. Troubles with his work have him contemplating what to do. Dee Stevens finds herself at the same bar, upset and trying to come to terms with her horrific day. When Dusty and Dee first meet there seems to be an odd feeling in the air. Little do they realize that there is more going on than just two strangers meeting for the night as their future becomes the past. As they are flung into the past they must quickly band together in order on to survive. Little do they realize that their future will impact the future and all of mankind.
When Dusty Williams walks into a strange bar to contemplate the ruination of his career, the last thing he expects to find is a compelling woman. He’s not even in the mood for a one-night stand. He just wants to escape from all humanity.
Dee Stevens can’t believe she’s in a bar at all. She’s just lost two patients due to drunk driving. Whatever could have drawn her into a strange bar tonight, of all times?
When the two meet, and they feel an odd vibration that seems to pull them together, they have no idea what’s ahead, or behind, them . . . and what it can mean for mankind.
