Sea Witch is a romantic sci-fi with selkie and human interaction.
On a Maine land visit Maggie, a selkie, finds Caleb, a police chief, and just the man to fulfill her needs. She needs some lovin'. Then she leaves - Caleb searches every avenue available to him and can't find out anything about her and where to find her. Three weeks later she finally returns, but through some misfortune she's stranded - she can no longer return to her former life in the sea. She learns to live her life as a human woman, only there's a demon after her now. If she doesn't find the fire demon and destroy him soon the planet may be doomed.
Virginia Kantra paints the settings with colorful description. Her characters have their assets and their flaws portraying them as personable, admirable people. The loving scenes and the chase for the demon lacked the pizzazz for a higher rating over 4.0.
