In modern day Chicago Tony, a cop, is crime fighting trying to apprehend a sex/porn trafficker/murderer. He's been at Dimityi for years with his partner's wife Clarke being one of Dimitryi's latest beating victims. The story begins as a botched raid exposes a room full of dead people - some Dimitryi's employees and the others the victims of his illicit activities.
Bianca is a reporter who's had her eyes on Tony and from personal experience wants to nab Dimitryi/Reggie as well. Her cousin disappeared one day from their home in Brazil never to return. Leads pointed the finger at Reggie and with Tony's help the name of Dimitryi as the boss - becomes their mutual bad guy to catch.
They decide to share information and meet at Tony's house. When Tony comes back into the room after taking his shower Bianca's mesmerized by bondage pictures on his computer screen. It's the impetus that sparks their "heat-on" D/s (Dominant/submissive) relationship.
Kori Roberts' Love on the Run is an action packed - whether police action or sex action - short story that's easy to follow. The characters are tied into the plot on many levels leaving the characters a little more complex - a little more intelligent. The setting descriptions are minimal on the most part with the characters reactions and feelings being paramount.
Love on the Run exposes both extremes of BDSM: BDSM with love and respect; as some believe is BDSM with torture, but many would consider something else. How one is acceptable - one is not.

When Clarke, chef and co-owner of a family restaurant, met hotass tough-cop Jack, it was love at first sight. Despite their ten-year age difference, she's determined to have him. She's not above shaking her tail, and her toys, to get him.
Jack has been fighting his growing attraction to Clarke since they met, but the more he tries to resist her, the more he craves her. Unfortunately for him, Clarke seems to sense his weakness and keeps moving right on in for the kiss, if not the kill.
Just when Jack thinks he'll give it up, give in to Clarke and how they feel, an enemy from his past throws up roadblocks. Fortunately, when it comes to love, age is just a number and even the worst revelations can be overcome, because the roads of the heart all lead the same place.
