Kaydana is a 21 year old wondering sorceress looking for work when a Sheovin, a short, gold skinned, violet eyed creature with spiky leaf green hair that continues down her spine to a long tail, enters her abode and wishes her employ. Tati's brother, Dalu, is in the dungeons and she wants Kaydana's help to get him out. In Grunard's kingdom sheovin are after dinner entertainment ending with Xorgh, Grunard's beast raping then eating them. Tonight Dalu is to be the entertainment. Kaydana and Tati enter the palace and are soon captured. Tati is taken to the dungeon but Kaydana works out a plan for escape with Makreth, Grunard's son who thinks little of his father's ways. When the entertainment for the evening is brought out Tati and Dalu are about to be tonight's.
The colorful characters appear to be continually in lust and have little problem with exercising it anytime. As we all know the sheovin excite our lusty genes at first glance.
There's very little sorcery in Kaydana and the Staff of Ishlun until near the end, and with a title like that I'd like to have it integrated into more scenes. BDSM is a large part in the dungeon and after dinner scenes, but this play is to injure. Their lives depend on escape.
Nyki Blatchley's easy to read very imaginative lusty tale is less than fifty pages long, so it'd be great for an evening of suspenseful entertainment.
Kaydana has come to the city of Mardish to make her living as a freelance sorceress, only to find that ever other magic-worker has had the same idea. Forced to get by on very little, she takes on a commission from a seductive girl called Tati to rescue her brother/lover Dalu. They are Sheovin - humanoid, but with golden skin and tails - who are persecuted in Mardish, and Dalu has fallen into the hands of the sorcerer-king Grunard and his demon protector.
Reluctantly, and tricked by Tati's sexual skills, Kaydana agrees to help get Dalu out of the royal dungeons where he's being tortured by the king and his demons, prior to being mass-raped and devoured for the entertainment of the king's guests. But the king's son, Makreth, has other ideas, both about Kaydana and about the magic staff she carries. In the midst of plots and intrigue, can she rescue Dalu from his fate - and prevent Tati from sharing it? And what will the experience teach her about the darker depths of her sexual tastes?
This is the first of a series of sizzlingly erotic sword and sorcery tales about the adventures of Kaydana the Sorceress.
