X Marks the Scot

Bad Boys of the Highlands, #2

Enthralling Highlander Romance. One of the best Highlander stories I've ever read. This is one author who just keeps on getting better.

Declan MacGregor has a reputation for being a rogue. The ladies love Declan and he loves them back. A lot! But lately he has grown weary of sampling all those willing women at the Kings court. No, Declan wants nothing more than to return home. But he couldn't possibly leave Lady Liadain Campbell without protection. He's not attracted to her at all seeing as how she's the sister to the bloody Campbell. Her vicious brother kidnapped Declan’s family members forcing his brother, Ciaran, to kill him. Now Liadain is all alone.

Liadain feels out of place at the Kings court but she takes comfort in Declan’s protection even if he is her enemy, especially now that speculation of witchcraft surrounds her. She could never be attracted to the MacGregor rogue. The only thing he is better at than wrenching is archery. When Declan wins the Kings Archery tournament his prize is the Campbell fortress with Lady Liadain as his bride.

X Marks The Scot is even better than the first book in this series. It's exciting with lots of action, political intrigue and more than a few surprises. And of course, it was wonderful fun to watch the lovely Liadain win the heart of her notorious rogue. One of the most exciting Highland romances I have read. Definitely worthy of five stars!

Book Blurb for X Marks the Scot

He was wicked with a bow and arrow and just as wicked with the ladies. Declan MacGregor hadn't a care in the world beyond finding a soft bed and a willing woman...until he had to escort Lady Liadain Campbell to the English court. The last living relative of their rival clan, the woman needles him at every turn, but he can't just abandon her to that vipers' nest without protection. With rumors of witchcraft and treason swirling around court, all Declan wants is to return home, but he must stay true to his mission...or is there something more behind his decision to stay?
