The Player

Game Maker Series, #3

This is the final book in Kresley Cole's Game Maker Trilogy. I have to give this one five winning stars as it was a captivating read that I didn't want to put down. I wanted my happy ending and yet I hated for it to end. I was enthralled....

As usual Kresley Cole created and brought to life a main couple who were strong willed, quirky and damaged. Vice and Dmitri shared a connection that was too strong to resist and in the end they healed each other. Vice and her family were con artists who lived on the edge but they were good people. In a desperate situation Vice targeted Dmitri and all the while never knew that she was being played by a master. Even amidst the con, and steamy interludes, their true feelings grew into love. The relationship was loaded with tension though as they tried to overcome so many obstacles and then came the super twist that was totally unforeseen. It was so sweet this grand gesture that made my own heart go thud.

It is hard to describe the goodness of this book without revealing spoilers. So just let me say that this book is one of Kresley Cole's finest efforts. Now I am a huge fan of all her books so I certainly do not say that lightly. It was seamlessly blended perfection entwined with passion, humor, mystery and of course, the long con. I loved every brilliantly crafted word.....
