Midnight Target

A Killer Instincts Novel, #8

I loved this book so much! Midnight Target is romantic suspense at its best. It was the story that I've been waiting for and Elle Kennedy did not disappoint. I was captivated by the loaded up suspense, fast paced action and steamy sex. From the first page until the last I couldn't help but love this book.

I loved Cate! She was so funny and strong. She wasn't afraid to spread her wings and stand up for herself. It gets her into trouble in this story and puts a target on her back. The intense danger brings her back into the family fold and lights the fuse in her relationship with hot alpha merc Ash. I wasn't quite as happy with Ash. He was a dirty talking hottie and super protective of Cate, but it sure took him long enough to take what he wanted.

The other aspect of the story is the tumultuous relationship between Liam and Sully. I couldn't hold back the feels whenever it was time for their scenes together. They were perfect and I loved them. I have to confess that they were my favorite part of the story.

Midnight Target is a perfect series ending book. The story was action packed and loaded with on the edge of your seat anticipation and scorch the sheets hot sex. Elle Kennedy has been building up the tension for this super-hot book and it does not disappoint. I'm sorry to see the series end but I loved this book hard. I can't wait to see what's next.

From the New York Times bestselling author of The Score and Midnight Revenge...

Four years ago, Cate’s entire life changed when she discovered she was the daughter of a supersoldier. But Jim Morgan’s overprotectiveness has pushed her away. These days, she’s working as a freelance photographer and living the dangerous life Jim never wanted for her.

When Cate snaps a photo linking a corrupt South American politician with the leader of a notorious drug cartel, her mercenary father leads a team to rescue her—only to get shot and critically wounded in the process.

As Morgan’s operatives rally together on a revenge mission, they’re faced with new alliances and old heartaches. Cate is forced to work with David “Ash” Ashton, the man who broke her heart two years ago, while Liam Macgregor and Sullivan Port resurface after years apart to finally try to deal with everything they’d left unsaid.

Soon it’s all-out war between the cartel and the mercenaries—with two couples caught in the middle of the blood feud. Love and redemption are within their reach...but first, they have to make it home alive.
