I really enjoyed reading Hannah and the Highlander.
I loved the characters in this story mostly because of their bold personalities. Alexander and Hannah had a strong connection but their relationship got off to a somewhat bumbling start. Alexander was a man of few words and this caused problems and mixed signals. This meant plenty of delicious drama and major baggage to overcome. Alexander had an agonizing past, and everything he went through, and his strength and loyalty to his people really endeared him to me. That made him one of the BEST heroes I've read lately. Hannah was amazing as well. I loved how she stood up for herself and for Alexander. Then there was the intriguing secondary characters that were introduced in this story. I can't wait to read the next book in this series, Susana and the Scot.
Sabrina York hit all the right buttons with this one. It was a well written novel with a story that is infused with romance, passion and angst. The drama was captivating and the emotions resonated off the pages. The prose was cleverly witty and flowed with liquid ease that helped to make this a truly lovely reading experience. Best of all she created strong characters that were easy to like.
Hannah and the Highlander is a wonderful love story that I can honestly and happily recommend to all.
First in a brand-new series from New York Times bestselling author Sabrina York about the bold, brawny men of the Highlands-and the lovely lasses who bring them to their knees...
Highlanders are her weakness.
Hannah Dounreay has no time for suitors who only seem interested in her family's land, which she manages as well as any man. And if he asks for Hannah's hand, will she be able to resist him?
Love is the most powerful weapon of all.

But as their attraction turns into an all-consuming passion, Alexander has no choice but to prove to Hannah that he's the only man for her-body and soul...in Hannah and the Highlander.
