Guardian's Mate

A Shifter's Unbound Novel, #9

I really loved this book! Jennifer Ashley never fails to spin a superbly satisfying and entertaining story with her Shifters Unbound series. This one had me captivated from the very first page.

For the romance perspective this book was one of the best in the series. Rae was feeling overwhelmed after being chosen by the Goddess as the first female Guardian. So her foster father delivered her to Zander the one shifter for training and to keep her safe. He is one of the un-collared shifters, a half crazy healer, and a loner who liked it that way. Zander made a great protector even though he wasn't prepared for a mate in the beginning. He helped Rae to gain the confidence to prove to everyone that she had what it took to fulfill her new duty. I loved Zander for being such a laid back adventure loving bear. Jennifer Ashley spun a great romance and a fantastic adventure as Zander and Rae followed a trail of twists and turns, solved a mystery and revealed a dangerous threat from an old enemy.

This book was entertaining and thrilling and romantic. It had more than one mystery, a Prophecy, and a lost family connection. It was very romantic and easily held my attention from beginning to end
