Furious Rush

S.C. Stephens has delivered another fast paced and intense sports story. I enjoyed many aspects of this book.

I loved the amazing chemistry between Kenzie and Hayden and how they chose to follow their hearts even amidst the family drama and betrayal. I did have some mixed feelings about Kenzie. I liked that she was female rider who excelled at her sport. She was under tremendous pressure to win and save her family and team. I just felt like it took her too long to stand up to her Dad and the so called friends so she kept on hurting Hayden. I instantly fell in love with him. It was clear to me from the starting line that Hayden wasn't the bad boy that everyone made him out to be. He was rough around the edges and misunderstood, but his sweet and sexy bad boy from the wrong side of town won me over from the beginning. I do wish that the author hadn't only scratched the surface and given us more about his backstory. The story had great suspense, though, and amazing high speed action. There was some foul play going on at the track and everyone's suspicions automatically fell on Hayden. I liked how the racing action was vividly described to leave the reader breathless.

I liked this book and if it wasn't for the fact that it was open ended then it would've been a five star read for me. I was left with so many questions and a little bit unsatisfied. I'd like to know if there will be a second book because if there is then I will definitely be reading it. Please let there be a second book soon. So, here is the thing, I recommend this one, but only if you don't mind that it kind of has a cliffhanger.

Book Blurb for Furious Rush

The first in an emotion-fueled, New Adult series from the #1 bestselling author of the Thoughtless novels.

Too fast, too furious-and way too hot to handle . . .

Mackenzie Cox has a lot to prove. Daughter of a racing legend, she is eager to show the world that she has inherited her father's talent in the male-dominated sport of professional motorcycle racing. The last thing Kenzie needs is to be antagonized by her rival team's newest rider, Hayden Hayes. Plucked from the world of illegal street racing, Hayden immediately gets under Kenzie's skin. His insinuations that Kenzie is a spoiled princess who was handed her career fuels her desire to win, and much to her surprise, Kenzie soon learns she performs better when she's racing against Hayden.

As Kenzie and Hayden push each other on the track, the electric energy between them off the track shifts into an intense--and strictly forbidden--attraction. The only rule between their two ultra-competitive teams is zero contact. Kenzie always does her best to play by the rules, but when her team slips into a financial crisis, she has no choice but to turn to Hayden for help. The tension simmers during their secret, late-night rendezvous, but Kenzie has too much to lose to give in to her desires. Especially when she begins to doubt that Hayden has completely left his street life behind...
